Autonomy is a core element of UZH's identity as a university. The two-year Governance 2020⁺ implementation program was launched on 1 October 2018 with the aim of increasing the faculties' organizational and management responsibilities and enhancing the strategic management capabilities of the Executive Board of the University (UL). The program builds on the resolutions and provisions that were defined in the preliminary project Strengthening the Management of the University of Zurich: Structures, Processes and Culture.
